Hi all I thought I would start a new sticky the same as the Plarail new release thread. So kicking it off with Mid 2015 Sodor's Legend Of The Lost Treasure...

A couple of new TrackMaster Greatest Moments packs on Walmart. They're both based on the "Big World! Big Adventures!" series, although I haven't seen any of it so I don't know specifically what they're meant to be. There are no names or SKUs.

First is a Thomas with two trucks containing monkeys. Thomas is some sort of monkey king?

Next is Rebecca, and she has a scrap truck with cargo that can clip on to her and give her a bunch of claws.

Typically these Greatest Moments packs come in threes. I wonder what the third pack will be? Red Rosie and flower cars? Duck, Jerome, and the new school coach? Samson, Bradford, and some dynamite car? Hmm

Rebecca looks great, Thomas the Monkey King.... not so much. That face lol

You are right WW, the new Rosie does have very small eye lids. I didn't know that and I did have to look very closely to see them. Certainly not as noticeable as this new Thomas has but here none the less.

That claw thing that comes with Rebecca looks quite interesting. It looks like it open too. Maybe it could be used for a Pinchy custom?

The claw thing attaches to her face like some kinda half Pinchy/half Hannibal Lector thing! Lol

Why have they not removed those holes? They never use them for packaging anymore and it drives me crazy! !

Well, my son wants Rebecca, so.... um, yeah! Thomas and Percy are interesting....

To be honest, I’m pretty underwhelmed and I strongly suspect that my son is losing interest in Thomas and Trackmaster stuff. He still likes trains but he’s definitely past the “collect ‘em all” phase with Thomas stuff. If I could buy Rebecca today, he’d probably want her. I’m not sure that’ll still be the case when these finally show up locally sometime early next year.

My son found her on eBay US a week or two ago but the prices were unsurprisingly silly. I realize that there will be a contingent in any hobby willing to pay 3-4 times the regular retail price for an item in order to have it first. However, most of my kids’ trains end up jumbled together in a storage container, so I’ll wait until they’re on the shelves at regular MSRP.
