FfarquharDeveloper @trainsrawesome, I think Mattel was anticipating them to sell well so they gave the talking engines the sound files needed to interact with others.

Super Thanks Leyland Wonder why the Tanker is transparent. Does it have some fake liquid in it like some of the older ones did that sloshed back and forth as its pulled down the rails?

Super Thanks for that info and video Link T-Raw. I am not a fan of the 'Wobblers' as an action feature but I see why it might be liked by the youngsters. I much prefer the old way of sloshing where the wheels drove the liquid to move.

TrainsRawesome A new metallic 4-pack containing Percy, James, Gordon, and Thomas has been revealed. The metallic Percy and James are the same as the 75th Anniversary versions but the metallic Gordon and golden Thomas are new.
leylandvictory2 is it me or James' fire box looks a bit different compare to the origianl metallic James. Same goes with Percy.  His side tank looks a bit different.
leylandvictory2 right. maybe i got mixed up with other models. Instead of using the Percy and James again, they should incorporate henry and Spencer and some other rolling stocks.

Super Thanks T-Raw That is a pretty neat feature with talking to the other characters. The voices seem good in the video but I would have like to have seen him running the trains to see if the voices were drowned out by the 'whirr' of the motors. I also wonder why they can't come up with a smaller light on the buffer beam. That thing is huge and reflects on a time before LED's when one had to use an incandescent bulb. With tiny LED diodes and the fact that these talkers, I assume, still use 2 AA batteries pumping 4.5volts it would be easy to have a lamp half that size if not more which would look rather nice.
leylandvictory2 not a big fan of the red tab on top of the coaches. The disappearance of passengers is nothing new. Stephen's coach has the same feature except you have to push the button down instead of sliding the tab
