So, I just bought a $40 lot with a busted red emd f unit, and now I’m interested in the history behind this little guy.
I already know about the Amtrak variant, basically everyone is scrolling the net for a cheap one, and I just found out about the blue one (i may or may not keep an eye out for one in the future).
What I’m asking is, what’s the history behind the red version, and where could one realistically have got it from once upon a time?
