Perhaps you could build a compartment (not “terminals”, which are the metal contacts) out of something like popsicle sticks or skewers cut to the battery’s length and wire the terminals to the DU. A CR123A is 3V and lithium-based, so it might be better to use an N (1.5V) like NasiToys to reduce the risk of overheating; or other damage to the cell or components.
