They are perfect but can also grow with Brian and Blake and be used for other collections or things as they get older. You mention that this is Part 1, is there more to the collection?
We have several used trackmaster sets that we would like to set up individually and display. My son has moved on to Ninja Turtles, but I still buy stuff every now and then, but the stuff I buy, doesn't get opened. When my son got into Thomas, we really like the battery operated trains. So we set out to collect at least one version of each character, whether Trackmaster, Tomy, or Plarail. As far as I can tell all I need to complete the collection is Thumper and Marion. Marion has been ordered, I just haven't received it yet. Hiro is my favorite character, and the reason is, when my father was on his death bed, we got to talking about Blake and how much he loves Thomas, and dad got to talking about Thomas had healed and train and that he wished Thomas would heal him. I had no idea what dad was talking about, well dad passed away the next day, and when I went home to tell Blake, he was watching the "Hero of the Rails" movie and I realized that's what dad was talking about. So I have a personal collection of my own, to where I am trying to collect all of the versions of Hiro ever made and I want them new in the box, the only one I need is BNIB R/C Hiro. If you look closely at one of my pics you can see we have one shelf designated to my Hiro collection.
