I’m always happy to see that there are people who are trying to preserve these wonderful relics of a bygone era!
I used to travel regularly on steam-powered trains myself (when I was young, they were still in regular service on some lines), and today’s children don’t even know that trains used to look like that. I remember an experience a few years ago at the Main Railway Station here in Zagreb, Croatia. I was going to the post office, which is right next to the station, next to which is exhibited the old steam locomotive 125-052 MAV Budapest, Hungary (1891), and a mother passing by said to her daughter: “Look, dear, this is an old train!” The daughter replied: “No, mommy, that’s not a train. This is a train!”, pointing to the modern electric train on the station platform. 😊
