Hong Kong MTR Kwun Tong Line Q Train Set

Newly released in September 2025.

Green elevated rails are new (and caused quite a stir in Japan, I hear!), they reflect the colour of the line on the MTR map.
The green is also a different green from anything previously available, so the regular rails are unique as well.
The Q-train is also new.

chrisjo They could have properly used the elevated rails image for the “new color track” graphic, since obviously this blue is the standard colour

Just out of curiosity, is there any barke down of what track parts come included inthe new green color?

I don’t really know what I was expecting, but I thought there might have been a quarter straight included, although I think I may have just been influenced by the box.
Anyway, I think it’s a real shame that there is only one point as having a pair, (one of each type) would really expand the possibilities for alternative layouts!

HanoibusGamer It looks like standard Tomy blue colour, but isn’t this in fact a new colour for this type of track? Have they already made elevated tracks in blue?

Wow…although not something entirely new, the remake of the elevated rails in a totally new color is on the right track for me for making creating something new. Although I am not into the colors (I am boring and live in a grey world) I do appreciate the effort.. Am I right to believe that these two sets are going to be China/Hong Kong releases and not Japan?

Elevated rails were only made in the grey color (up until now) and were commonly refereed to as Elevated grey so when looking for the regular grey tracks that term could be used to determine the shade of grey one was looking for. I wish I had had this knowledge when buying tons of what I thought were the same grey color rails and turned out to be either a dark grey or creamy grey when I received them. It was always hard to tel on a computer screen for the right shade.
