Are these new types of side rods? And these all seem to have push button on/off switches and not the levers. Is this something new or been around? Why do they all look too narrow, something seems off to me 🤪

the rods are the regular ones but it has molded outer detail.

At least they gave us adapters . It’s a shame these won’t couple to anything that really came before it .

The faces suck
However I won’t completely say this is worse then aeg as at least these look like trains and the fact these have the correct wheels expect for the tender does give me some hope . I really don’t know how to feel about this . The buttons are a nice change to say the least . But there a lot wrong which a lot of People have said so I am not gonna say it again

Super This is the first Emily I’ve seen that has a locomotive engine and a real big wheel (that touches the track). The rear wheels of the locomotive are fake, but these small front wheels are real, touching the track. That arrangement and the general look of the wheels looks like a good job. But… Given the overall length of this locomotive, it will be interesting to see how something like this will manage to navigate the relatively tight radii of this TrackMaster track, and especially how it will work on inclines. Let’s say this Emily is moving counterclockwise on the small layout in the last picture. After it passes through the tunnel and climbs that incline, it comes down a relatively steep curve. I’m probably wrong, but I just don’t see how this locomotive could do that.

first look at the new Thomas, trucks, and S.C.Ruffey… for starters, the engine is way slower than a TM2 engine since according to leaks, they will require 1 AAA battery. I like the button to be honest! it looks a tad more “realistic” (the faces are almost like RWS images in CGI. they are confirmed to not use A.I. there are images of how the face was made around the TTTE Wiki and some Mattel releases (?) ) showing how they made it using toys, the railway series illustrations by C. Somehow, denials that they used AI to create the faces reached the public very quickly. I wonder why… In reality, the exact technological process with the details of creating these specific faces is not too important to me. What is important to me and what I do not like at all is that these faces - however they were made - irresistibly allude to the faces of “humanoid” AI robots (in which there is little that is “humanoid”), which we see every day on various media platforms. The same blank and emotionless expression of an indifferent and cold face.

The reference to the Railway Series illustrations by C. Reginald Dalby is ridiculous and insults the common sense of anyone who has ever leafed through that beautiful series of books.
