Hi there! I’ve just returned from a trip to Thailand, and managed to grab a few new sets I can’t get locally in Vietnam. This is one of them, and it’s also one of the more unique and less discussed one, so here it goes.
This is Plarail Block Class 923 Dr. Yellow set.

Small box, since there’s one car after all. 6 pieces, plus an instruction leaflet and a card.
The instruction is printed on a glossy paper, which is weird but nice.

The build is simple, so let’s cut to the comparison. There are severe compromises.
1/ Compared to normal Plarail train: It’s narrower, shorter, sits higher, and definitely won’t match well with normal Plarail train.

The hook is fine, and it’s nice that the hook can be rotated 360, which means you can buy two and connect them together. You may have to buy a different set for middle cars though.

2/ Compatibility with other brick brands: Very close, but not possible.
Connection with the studs on top: Impossible, the studs are too wide.

Connection with anti-studs at the bottom: Loose if connected in a single row, impossible for two connected rows.

Overall, this product is now on its own, highly specialised for each model, very limited customization, incompatible with any other brick brands (which, anyone can now do (e.g. Mattel), since the Lego brick patent has already expired).
At least you can do this I guess.
