DalaGStanator Thread links with the previous identifiers (without the thread titles in the URLs) are now broken again and might have to be fixed manually. Will there be a solution to this like when the domain name changed? Since the thread numbers are identical, maybe there could be a script or something that would recognise them and redirect to the full links.
thehsvdude DalaGStanator this is being looked into the solution will sorted soon. just working my overnight shifts at the moment and will be back on monday to continue working on the website.
thehsvdude We had some technical issues in relation to our email service, the website was briefly inaccessible for a short period of time. The issue was promptly resolved.
thehsvdude FYI we’ve added user badges visible at https://forum.blueplastictracks.org/badges they also show up next to the Users on forum posts.
thehsvdude Update: 3000 Legacy posts contained malformed XML and as a result was causing the page load errors, corrective action has been taken on the posts. everything appears to be good now. thehsvdude Resolved a certain issue with some pages failing to load under some circumstances.
thehsvdude the ability to self like your own posts has been revoked. likes on your own posts prior to now me changing this will still be on the posts until a workaround is found to remove those too.
thehsvdude Update: I managed to remove all 15 instances of self-likes on posts that were applied by the author to their own post
thehsvdude Whilst I was at it I’ve doubled the amount of memory given to the server so that performance should be a little more snappier.
chrisjo OK, here’s another one. I wonder if anyone else has this (very slight) issue? Every time I open BPT, I see this: It’s only there for a second or two, then the red ‘Oops!’ message boxes disappear and the ‘Top Posters’ boxes are populated.
thehsvdude chrisjo I’ve been looking into that one! It’s essentially just a minor backend file permission hiccup nothing to worry about. It happens briefly when the widgets try to write or log data in the background before catching up, which is why it clears itself right away once everything loads. I’ll get it fully smoothed out soon!
