Collection Appraisal

Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever had their collections appraised? I am thinking of having mine appraised, and put on my home owners insurance. Does anyone know of any appraisers?

Interesting question. Not sure an entire collection would be worth the cost of an appraiser and/or rate increases. Maybe your Home Owners Insurance carrier would have a recommendation. I would be interested in knowing what you come up with.

Depending upon size and difficulty of locating some of the items, it could be worth checking out an appraisal for your collection, as some of us have put in thousands of dollars (quite literally) to build up a collection. So it could be worth it.

Rockinator, That's kind of where I'm at with my collection, I know the amount of money I have, and continue, to tie up in my collection. I think it would be nice to know if the money was worth the investment.
