I have had several chances to buy just those coaches but passed because of that, yuck, color. But at least those coaches will be interchangeable with both the Thomas and James Oigawa releases. MuddyPoppins Yep me too!! I looked around on eBay for it (there was nothing), but while staring at it, and then looking at all the regular images of James, I realized how dumpy it makes the original James look!!...It's 10x better looking than a standard James, and for whatever reason, looks better than the Thomas version too!! ...just AWESOME.
Nigels I got the Thomas, so guess I'll have to get the James to go with him, would be rude not to... 🙂
WoodWheel92 There is a lot of talk going around on Twitter about it. Many are excited but some seem to think it's a fake. It does seem odd that she'd not have a face closer to that of her render in the show. Some speculated that this could be a prototype, but usually these images look near-identical to the final product.... so it's all up in the air for now.

If it were legit, it would've looked more polished and had a glare to it, with her actual face. Unlike the truck and milk tanker, there is no shading on Daisy's body and it looks too flat.
Super In addition to the new Oigawa Railway James is a train also slated for a Late May release is what looks to be a re-make of the original S-37 Odakyu Electric Railway Romance Car Series 50000 I can't tell if the chassis has been updated also as the older version was also a AA Shinkansen motor chassis. I like the newer version with its dark tinted windows but only if they are real windows and not painted. DalaGStanator The windows on the old version make it look more like the original, but the new one appears to have more detail. Plus, the sides of the power unit on the new version look nicer since they don't have the tabs for the battery cover.

Thanks DalaGStanator, I hadn't notice the lack of those battery tabs, that does look better. After your mention about the windows, I had to look up the real train whos windows look darker (see below). The original Plarail model's windows have a greenish tint to them and are clearer. I have pre-ordered this new one so I will be able to do a side by side comparison. I do hope the new ones windows are not just painted. Thanks for your input.pr_vse.jpg140kB

ripley802 I reached out to the eBay seller Tokyo-Hobby regarding the Oigawa James pre-order. They will have it available on 4/25. I find going this route a bit cheaper than Hobby search but am anxious to get the other batch of items from them to confirm they are not damaged during shipping.
