R/C Stanley. Confirm year..help

Hello. I purchased a lot that has the r/c Stanley in it. The date is 2008 the seller says, but it doesn't have a remote. I see a few on eBay but they look to be 2005/2006. Could someone confirm the year on the engine and remote if you have one? Thanks.

I have no idea why the years are different, but contrary to the Wiki site ONLY ONE RC Stanley version has ever been released, so that IS the compatable remote you need.

Muddy, you were correct. I received the remote today and the train yesterday, and it works like a champ. So if anyone else has this same question, the remote is dated 2005 and the train is 2008, why, I have no idea. I presume due to having the molds or blanks already made so they were reused? At any rate, I have victor left together this style r/c and then will have them all.
