how to post photos

the easiest and most common way to share photos here is to use photobucket. it is free and easy to use.

create an account and click upload

uploads in progress

select and right click COPY on the IMG tag. paste into your thread.

EDIT: the share links on the side have returned. just left click in the IMG box. it will turn yellow and say "copied". then simply paste here.

if you want to make sure your links have worked, click "preview post" at the bottom of this window.

once happy, click post thread and youre all done! 😃

reason for edit: accidentally deleted all my photos, so had to redo these ones.

Nice post for this. In case there are some out there who are not aware too, there "is and app for that" too. I use my phone and iPad for most things now, so rarely see a desktop/laptop. The steps are similar. Just watch that you do not upload your entire camera roll to photobucket. :-)

thanks, ripley. im not up with the new technology for the most part, so am still tied to my desktop. i do have a tablet, but rarely use it. a standard computer is easier for me. im glad we do have members who are up to the play with the other ways.

This guide seems outdated as there is no add attachment option anymore when posting a message. The insert picture option requires a http address which I tried to use photo bucket img share option and the direct option. Neither seem to work. Can someone please update the instructions? Thanks.

Don't use the "Insert Picture" option here. Just copy the "IMG" link at Photo Bucket and paste that into your post. The same with using the "Direct" Link at Photo Bucket.

had to edit the first post. while photobucket images cant be lost to a coding error, they can be lost to an accidental delete. i honestly though "select all" was just for that page, not the whole album! then of course i couldnt find the original files on the computer, so had to redo them entirely. lol

http://imgur.com is a very popular site these days, I find it to be alot nicer to work with than photobucket.
