It depends what you define as rare.
It is the Yurikamome that came with the "New Transport Yurikamome Set" released in 1998. The set itself is already quite hard to find.
The Yurikamome only comes in two-car configurations in Plarail.
As for the Limited Edition version of this train (which isn't the one you see in the photos), it was released in 2001 and was sold at the Tokyo Toy Show 2001 and Plarail Expo 2001. The Limited Edition one looks almost exactly the same as the standard one included in the set except the car numbers are "18" instead of "01".
