AC, that is a fantastic video camera you must be using. May I ask what it is? The video has such clarity and the HD is fantastic.

That camera is amazing and so unconventional looking. How do you like it AC? Is it easy to learn and operate? I must check into this as I am amazed.

EDIT:

Now I am confused, if this is a camera or something that holds a Smart Phone. Since I don't do phones this might not be for me. Further research is warranted.

Wow, there is a lot more to this camera and the fact that its special auto rotating head prevents any jittery videos https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-7BPt4bJjU Really cool except I have no phone. Only negative reviews says that a cooling fan inside the camera is loud. Besides that you can't argue about the video results.

That is the first time I used the DJI Osmo in the real world and of course we had to visit a mini train show.

@[deleted] Yes we always bring Plarail related toys 😉 EF60 was our first Plarail train included in a set and also my favorite.
I think we have more than 10 just like F-Units LOL

You can use the Osmo by itself. However it is best use a phone to see where you are shooting and adjust parameters. It can record up to 4K.
Yes the fan is loud but for my use, I will always add a background music.

I just need more practice but it is a neat video camera replacing my GoPro and aging DSLR Camera.

I really like that way the camera keeps everything level with no jitters, great for following a moving train around the tracks. Its amazing how well that 3 axis gimbel keeps the camera steady and level no matter what. I like how the whole field of vision is in focus and not just the subject. I wonder if you can just use an old phone by itself without having a contract with a phone company. Is there no zoom? Do you like it better than the GoPro? Wonder if plugging in an external Mic it would not pick up the fan noise. Maybe there will be a second generation that addresses that. I see there are 3 models...which one do you have if I may ask? ...Oh geesh...I have rambled on with too many questions...sorry.

I am using an old phone (Samsung Note 2) via WiFi, it does not need a cellular service. It also connects to an iPad. As long as the app is compatible with your phone/tablet it should work.

video quality Yes, but the Gopro is very portable and easier to mount on bikes, cars, etc.

Technically there is only one model: One with the included camera X3. The other option is just for the Handle and you use their other Gimbal camera that are for the Phantom copters

Many thanks for the information AC. I look forward to seeing some more videos from you using the Osmo and if using that addon microphone works better and doesn't pick up any fan noise.
