While not to the extent of another well known Australian like him, Ucwepn (who's also the founder of the site) did have his own influence on me when I still collected new items. In one case, he showed the automatic turntable from the FP Tidmouth Sheds set and I bought it despite having the HiT version. He also made me aware of Mr. Motorman (a great third party universal system that converts trains to RC), though I never had a copy of it. Enjoy the ride.
On another note: I saw you asked about weathering on the OO Scale board. Does that mean you (soon) plan to make the jump to regular model railways? You should've perhaps hinted towards it in this post.
