So, as noted in another thread, I recently decided to stop buying other Thomas merch (Wooden, Take 'N Play, model railway etc.) and focus all my Sodor-building efforts on Trackmaster as I already have a lot of it (even more lost and yet to be found) and it propels itself and is easier to work when compared to model railways.
I already have lots of blue TOMY track and the Whistling Woods Trackmaster 1 pack so I ordered the Percy Post set, the Over and Under Bridge set and Flying Scotsman and Shooting Star to kickstart my Trackmaster 2 collection.
What then ensued was several hours of extreme frustration and creative effort in trying to combine all these different tracks in a relatively small space (when compared to other members of the community). I decided to have blue track and Trackmaster 2 separate as to avoid having to file the bottom of the engines down as I don't have a file and it probably wouldn't end well.
What resulted was this:

(I've ordered Cranky btw that's why the siding leads to nowhere.)
And now for some in-depth shots, because I can.
"Watch me brother as I whoosh through with the express!"
(Note that I've had to attach Mighty Mac's power coach to Gord- I mean Shooting Star's express because the Trackmaster 2 engine alone doesn't have enough traction to get through the Trackmaster 1 Whispering Woods.)

The "Tidmouth Bridge" gantry that leads to... Wellsworth. There are loads of sidings and a bridge beyond it though so all is well.

And, last but not least, the classic shot.
