You are correct Nigels, after reading your post I took a look at some of our two speed trains and sure enough there are quite a few with 2 speeds using C cell batteries
As far as the wheels go, they will stay the dark green for now, until I can find a few more dark gray ones or if I find a few more black ones. I have tons of wheels.
I still would like more information on this, like how come it say USA but we only see them in Japan. This chrome one reminds me more of an F-Unit than all the other 583's in Japan. Hmmm, maybe all it needs is moving the head lights to the middle...hmmm
