Yes, they were 'as new', boxes opened, but the inner blisters still sealed and including the cards etc... The fourth one down I actually photographed the coaches in the wrong order, that is 4th car and 3rd car so you need to juggle them mentally to see the real thing - they are the cars from the 'Ghost Train' apparently.
The blimp is from a different set as it comes in a different box, but again was as new complete with a couple of bits to fit to it etc...
On the lookout for the rest now.
Oh, as for the size they are closer to 'Z' gauge than 'N' gauge each car is a little shorter than an average capsule car if that helps give you a size idea. The exception is the blimp which is relatively quite a bit larger. 🙂
