Just did some "cleaning up". I have these sets (one is Tomica Town). Really like setting up Tomica Town stuff w/Plarail trains/sets but it does take up room!

We have been seriously considering getting the large green crossing w/ the figure 8 automated roadway... What are your thoughts on it? Is it fun? quality? an essential?

I love the Snowplow set and the crane set too.

The DX Crossing Set is great. The different sounds and announcements are really realistic & similar to those in Japan (takes 3 C batteries). It goes well with the blue Plarail double tracks but gets a lot harder with single tracks.
The box is really big and I had a heck of time at the airport in Tokyo. You'll need some cars too: haven't tried American cars but the Tomica cars work well with it.

Very nice indeed. Are all of those unopened or do you like to keep everything in their original packaging?

Most are opened but I've kept the boxes & cards, accessories, etc on all of them. I have a few trains and sets unopened. A lot of them have nicks etc because my son played a ton on them. For whatever reason, I enjoy keeping the boxes and "boxing them up" when putting them away.
