wanted to buy, vintage dark blue tomy

do any of you guys happen to have one of these vintage tomy signs stashed away? from what i can tell, its the one station sign i dont have in my collection, though i am happy to be shown others i dont have. 🙂

it says container station and appears to have a forklift on it.

Wow Sun...I didn't know there was so many different ones. I see them appear on Ebay but I never stopped to read them. So you need the "Container Station" sign, I will keep an eye out for one. Do you know the name of the set it came with or it it obvious because of what the sign says?

haha, yes, still in the attic, though i did quit the other day for a bit and moved down to the wardrobe.

i am not sure what set it comes with, but it will be one of the freight ones, maybe tomy train 4? i went through several booklets i have multiple times, and it wasnt in any of them. i have seen two on ebay, but both were in bulk lots and would have cost the earth to ship over.

Found it on eBay uk listed as a seperate item, there were a few job lots of blue track also with some signs, but just not that one. As it was the only one on offer I grabbed it at the BIN price just to secure it 🙂

The "Container Station" sign comes from one of the two different versions of TomyTrain 3 (#1122), the one with the forklift and the blue & white diesel in it. The other TomyTrain 3 (#1125) has the "Freight Station" sign and a green steamer.

Those are pretty cool sets and I see that the first ones have the reverse tracks. Is the second one motorized?
