Do you have pictures of those Vio in case I come across one I can give you a heads up. Are you just looking for the middle coaches or the whole train?

Whole train is OK too, preferably only intermediate car.
I have searched common marketplaces already, but these are too expensive.

Also adding this nearly unused L Train Pla-Road Set released in 1986-1987, really short time. Though advertised as Nearly Unused, it just looks like brand new to me.

The first picture shows a train that has 'Resort' on the box, might you know what Resort it is?

I have always liked looking at that Pla-Road set and it looks like the one you picked is in fabulous condition. I am curious if that squashed Bus is motorized or a Pull & Go.

From what I know, Izukyu Resort 21 (this train), is a Izukyu Series 2100. The name "Resort" only depicts that the stations this train goes to are close to a resort area, but does not say which resort it is. Hence why Series 2100 was identified as Resort 21.

That bus is a metal back switch, so its motorised. I was really amazed that the stickers are intact in the sheet. I did call the seller, he says that the train was never taken out of the box before, so there were no pictures of the train's front.

Nothing better than receiving an item bought from auctions listed as used and find out that it was never out of the box...priceless.

So these pictures aren't yours...you don't have it yet? I am curious to see what the inside of the stubby Buss looks like. If motorized I would have to assume it uses an 'N' size battery as it looks too short to fit a 'AAA'.

Nearly unused 1983 Tokaido Sanyo Shinkansen Set With Light Gimmick just came in. Seller says that the contents were never touched, but it has dirt spots so I'm not too sure whether it is true. This set had a high production cost, retailing 5000 yen, and released way before the day of the 20th Anniversary of Shinkansens. (although it is marked as the anniversary product). The main selling point is the out of print double concave elevated rails.

I confirm all PlaRoad vehicles, which are direct ancestors of Motor Tomica, use 2 N size batteries. Motor Tomica uses only 1. This bus comes from the L Express PlaRoad Set, 1988 reprint. All Made In Japan.

Using 2, side by side N battery's is something different for sure. Guess its the best way to keep the bus's compact stubby style and last long. Both the bus and train look unused as the seller indicated, are you happy with the set?

Although Motor Tomica is smaller, it lasts a little longer from what I hear.

Somewhat happy, the set looked like brand new inside. Might be worth keeping it at this current state so I can sell it in the future. This set is not very well received by the public, but I'm sure that it will make a great collectors item in a few years time. I will make a video for sure, but need to look around for 2 N batteries first.

Is that so? I might have a faulty Motor Tomica? The gears engage when the switch is on, but after turning off the back wheels get very rigid. Mine is a B-20 "B/O Tomica Honda CR-V" (blue body and red wheels).

I have the same one and it free wheels. Are you sure the switch is all the way in the Off position? You should be able to see that the On/Off gear is engaged or not buy looking underneath.

I did unscrew the entire chassis, and I found a small pebble stuck between the shaft. This prevented the inner gear from moving backwards into the chassis. Thanks for all this Super, my CR-V is free now.
