In Croatian, the month of November is called Studeni (which means: “The Cold One”). But today there was no sign of cold, it was sunny and warm, so I decided to record a few videos, first the ones that had been waiting for their turn for a long time.
And then I had bad luck. When I started recording “Chinese Trackmaster” Duncan, the engine that I had foreseen as a “supporting role” in the video, my beloved Plarail Rusty, refused to cooperate (apparently cracked gear, of course). I recorded Rusty in a few videos years ago, but after a long period of inactivity, it seems that he succumbed to the well-known problem mentioned above. I had to help him by adding Harvey’s powered wagon.
Bad luck does not come alone. The next one I wanted to record was (also a Chinese counterfeit) Duke. I have not recorded him in any video yet. I always said, “There’s time, I’ll make that video one day,” and look where that got me when I finally decided to make it… He started off great (he’s pretty fast), went one lap and then there was that rattling sound, he started coughing and - it seems he succumbed to the same “disease”.
Since I’ve already snapped some photos of Duke, here they are, without the video:
