The front hook can also be used by children to connect several Push Along engines and pull them. But they are also practical to attach to a Motorized engine, otherwise the videos would be pretty static! : D

But there are some Push Alongs that doesn't have a front hook, Kana being one of them:

The others are Kenji, Farona & Frederico and Riff & Jiff. What to do when an engine does not have front hook? One youtuber puts Plarail motorized wagons behind such Push Alongs, it looks quite good. But it can't be used on a layout with TM steep slopes, of course.

That idea sounds like a modification in reverse might work. Where most modifications were Trackmaster II drive wheels are replaced with original Trackmaster/Plarail drive wheels...it may work replacing the motorized wagons wheels with Trackmaster II's.

Oh, my! Customizing Plarail to Trackmaster! Although it sounds a bit "sacrilegious", it could really be a good idea to motorize Push Alongs! 😃

I must say that this coach with passengers sure looks a lot better than the Trackmaster II's with just stickers.

I believe they had this type of coach earlier with the TM2 Knapford Station Push Along set. It is a special car: if you press the roof of the car, the scene will change, and instead of the passengers, the car will transport letters and packages! (picture 8) 🙂

There are a few loops in AEG world nowadays, obviously... 😃

There is this one (the "Super Loop"), then there is the Cannonball Curve, which is also some sort of loop, isn't it? And it's merchandised as the "Race For the Sodor Cup Push Along Set". Finally, there will be also the ultimate loop ("Loop-de-loop") when Launch and Loop Maintenance Yard set Set is going to be released (in August, as I recall)... This is not the one, I'm sorry! :angel:

I had real fun with this Diesel "Super Loop" today making this video. It showed some interesting features, such as that the Y-switch does not always have to be turned by hand, sometimes it is enough to change it by the rumble of the train, which can be seen in the video. 😃

cranky's mouth and wrinkles are definitely disappointing. They look like somebody used a pencil and draw all over cranky.

I guess I am picky but i dislike the fact that crank is on top of a raised platform. otherwise the set is alright.

I think his face looks great. Keep in mind, it's All Engines Go! Only noses are highlighted, everything else is drawn. It's a cartoon, you see. Someone really used a pencil and draw it. That's the way it should be! :cool: 😃

I guess you are right: you are picky! Tomorrow, Cranky could be somewhere else, or the whole set will be changed. You never know. That's the advantage and the beauty of this kind of layouts! 🙂

How many different motorized AEG Thomas expressions (NOT including push along) models have been released so far?
It seems like this is the 4th Thomas?
…2 Diesels, 2 Percy’s, 1 James, Kana, Nia, Carly, Gordon?

There are 5 different motorized AEG Thomas expressions released:

Here we have: b[/b] Regular Thomas, b[/b] Muddy Thomas, b[/b] Fix 'Em Up Friends Thomas and 3-in-1 Package Pickup Thomas who have the same facial expression, and b[/b] Cranky the Crane Cargo Drop Thomas.

There is one more released, but I don't have him yet: (5) Bridge Lift Thomas - -

Then there are three Percy's released so far:

b[/b] Regular Percy, b[/b] Party Percy, b[/b] Package Roundup Percy

Nia:

b[/b] Regular Nia and b[/b] Dockside Drop-off Nia

Diesel:

b[/b] Regular Diesel, b[/b] Deliver the Win Diesel

Only one Gordon, James, Carly and Kana were released so far:

I was planning something like that, Muddy. I've done videos about 8 AEG engines before (when there were so many), and about three AEG Thomas. Now that would be 4 Thomas (or 5 if I get Bridge Lift Thomas) and three Percy. Maybe the whole fleet, we'll see. Anyway, first come the videos about the third Percy (Package Roundup Set) and the second Nia (Dockside Drop-off Set). 🙂

After all three small sets were tried, of course I had to combine them into a big one! Although at first glance it seems that the themes of these three small sets are a bit boring (all of them include package delivery, docks, loading stations, Cranky, etc.), in fact everything makes sense when connected, for which I needed only one extra switch and one crossing. Video coming soon! 🙂
