Oh, the chain has a… manual action! The pole can be rotated and the chain lowered, and then you still have to unhook the hook from the barrel, all by hand. That was a bit too difficult for me with my cell phone in my other hand! 😁

Yeah, I know I have to deal with those, but I’m not in any hurry to organize removing the fallen tree & the rest of the weeds form the backyard ( I’m lazy), so for now I’ll just pretend it’s a nice backdrop for my little outdoor layouts! 😁

As far as I’m concerned, Salty and Toby (both Motorised and Push Along) are the most successfully made models of the All Engines Go series. Given that the models in this series are significantly larger (and taller!) than Plarail and TrackMaster, the designers - despite the fact that these are models from the cartoon series - were able to beautifully (not flattened) depict Salty’s cabin with appropriate windows (unfortunately not in the Push Along version), as well as Toby’s rounded roof. Very nice models, indeed. Oh, I almost forgot Emily! Emily is always beautiful.

Thanks, Super. I really like this shiny metal Salty! He is small (seems smaller than other Push Alongs) as he should be; he is a little shunter locomotive that works on the docks. [Salty is based on a British Rail (BR) Class 07 diesel-electric shunter.]
I’ve used the music, especially the second song in this video, “Smoked Kielbasa”, in all of Salty’s (Plarail, TrackMaster & AEG) videos before. I don’t know why, but this cheerful song, although it’s a polka, somehow fits Salty and his habit of singing sailor songs… And the most important thing is that no one can remain sad or in a bad mood when they hear such a song!

I did my best, Super… You can rotate it and pull the chain up and down, but it’s not that easy and it’s quite exhausting when you’re 57, kneeling down on a small terrace, grabbing the crane with one hand, and the phone in the other! And there is water (hot and cold, at the right temperature, mind you), engines submerging, dripping! Hot! Cold! Oh, the wheater! Will it rain? Must end it before dinner… What a day! I made 3 videos today (Thomas, Percy and Kana), took me all day, but no complaints, it was fun, and I’m 6 again!

I don’t know Super, but I wouldn’t say… Colour Changers come in a “hot” version (their “out of the box” colour), so, as you can see from these videos, the engine must first be dipped in cold water, so that their face turns red (or, in Percy’s case, green) and the colour of the case changes, Kana reveals a smiley on her side, etc. That water must be at a temperature of 0-10°C (32-50°F), a bit too cold for a bath, except for baby penguins. Only then are they dipped in hot water 35-42°C (95-109°F), to restore the colours to their original state, which is rather hot…
