Today was another beautiful and sunny day, so I decided to record a video of the golden Thomas that arrived yesterday. However, as soon as I started recording, a strong wind suddenly started blowing. It was so strong that it blew my houses and station from the small upper terrace where I was filming all the way down to the large ground floor terrace which, fortunately, due to my carelessness (which now turned out to be a good thing!), had become a bit overgrown with plants, so the houses and stations did not break, because they landed on a soft surface. First, my green houses flew away; the wind simply lifted them up and threw them into the abyss. When I went down to pick them up (and assemble them), the Ffarquhar station flew right in front of my face from the upper terrace. Therefore, in the second part of the video, you may also see the tiles I used to secure the scenery.
In addition, my faithful Motor Tomica Bertie the Bus from 1995 also left me. After the first scene in which he appeared, he simply did not want to go any further. The engine runs, but the wheels seem to spin on empty, they do not provide any drive. It seems that motorized Tomica cars can have gear problems too, although I’ve never had that happen to me… Anyway, it’s a good thing I recently got a spare Bertie just in case… 😁
The other three 80th Anniversary Thomas trains also appear in the video. While I’m aware of some criticisms in this regard, I think Takara Tomy did a good job of celebrating Thomas’ 80th anniversary with these four special trains.
