I’ve always had a problem with Plarail slope rails. They look kind of weird and hollow to me, as if the train is climbing in the air. I think they should be filled, at least partially in the lower part. Earlier Plarail slope rails were much nicer, they had supports underneath. Of course, that doesn’t allow for the creation of tall Plarail track towers, because a train wouldn’t be able to pass under such a rail. Still, I think it’s a shame that they don’t produce that type of slope rail anymore:
Also, I really like the old slope curves, I think they’re noticeably nicer than today’s R-18 Slope Elevated Curve Track Set. In my opinion, it looks really good that they’re closed like that, so it gives the impression that the train is climbing as if on some circular embankment:
However, the flat slope rails were really a problem for me, so I decided to solve them in a simple way. I cut the bottom part out of paper (cardboard) and simply placed it under the rail. Nothing special really, but it still looks better this way:
