brtrainz Has anyone tried this? If so do they fit? Mainly wondering about the original/1.0 track due to 2.0 lacking switches.
marclovestrainz I have tried it before. But they don't work well. The wheelbase is a teensy bit too narrow.
brtrainz Thanks Marc, that's disappointing. I'm guessing the raised guardrails on the switches were the problem? Super here's a couple pictures of the product line I'm talking about (sorry if I've misunderstood what you were looking for).
Nigels There was another capsule maker that had more realistic looking track and which tended to specialise in more 'real world' versions of trains etc... That uses the same wheel base as the Tomy capsule trains so would be compatible. I've got a bunch here and I'm sure in the past I've posted pictures of it. I can check if you want to know more...
Nigels The power trains are 'N' gauge (160:1) scale, I picked up one of those sets illustrated in Brt's post from Argos (a UK store) for £15 reduced from £50 in their clearance sale. Holding it for one of the grand kids for next chrimbo lol!
Nigels Super wrote What is 'chrimbo' ??? English slang for Christmas mate 🙂 brtrainz wrote Nigel is it Epoch "Mini Motor Train" (ミニモータートレイン)? I think it is 🙂
leylandvictory2 I don't think power train has released any more new products lately. the track switches are somewhat limited.
leylandvictory2 sadly the power train doesn't worth a lot of money. I still have them in the storage locker.
brtrainz Nigels are the Epoch trains visually compatible? I.e. If I were to bodge a coupler converter car would they look OK in the same train or would one brand look overly large in comparison to the other?
