Zoom train meeting

Have we ever thought about doing some type of zoom meeting to talk about trains? With covid and such this could be a cool time to put a face to a name and ask/talk in real time.

Does anyone have interest in this!?

What a novel idea AJ. I have only briefly heard of this Zoom thing and only since these lockdowns for the Chinese virus. I don't have the means, the know how or the equipment to participate but I would look forward to watching a replay video if it was posted somewhere...of course if thats recorded. We could have a special Post/Thread on in here at BPT.

I would be interested in joining! I probably won't show my face and might have to build up some courage to speak up though haha. Sounds very delightful to talk with other people with this interest outside of my normal friend circle.

There may be a desktop/laptop version of the app and most of those have a camera and microphone nowadays (Bob from the FBI says “hi”, BTW) so that may be an option. You’re probably wise to not have the nearly standard mobile device nowadays.

I (reluctantly) use Zoom due to never ending corona restrictions, so I have the app. It’s a neat idea to use it for a virtual BPT meeting although I’m not sure if I’ll be involved.

What kind of computer or phone do you have? Pretty much anything in the past 8-10 years would have one on it!

The cool thing about zoom is it also has a phone number you can call and join with. Which would allow anyone with a phone to participate too!

LOL...oh there is a Microphone Jack on my computer case...I have no microphone. And, see Stone Age remark above,...I have no Cell Phone, just a land line. haha

Go ahead and set it up AJ. It may be hard to find an official time and day to accommodate all the World Timezones as out membership is world wide But I am sure that with the help of the others you can come up with something.
