2025-05-19 Update

Aaaaaaaand it’s finally time for another update.
Gonna be holding back for about another month but I’ve got a bunch of stuff to show soon, for now I’ll leave this here. 😉

Strasburg 2025 meetup with a bunch of friends is over which means its time to finally update the thread.

2025-06-18 Update

Skarloey:
Skarloey is just a TOMY Skarloey with a repainted face, silver buffers, and oliver styled wheels and rods, printed out by MagicJayroad.

Rheneas:
Rheneas has finally been repainted to be much cleaner, his front bufferbeam is now the correct shape, and all of his details are painted on without the use of any stickers.

Sir Handel:
Sir Handel has been repainted for the final time.

Peter Sam:
Peter Sam has been fully repainted, all of his details have been painted on by hand.
His face has been repainted slightly as I really don’t like it’s stock standard condition, his wheels and rods have been replaced with prints by magicjayroad.
His funnels are magnetic and interchangable, here is a magnet in the smokebox and another magnet inside each of the funnels.

Rusty:
They’ve got silver buffers and I patched up their bufferbeams since there was a chip since that seems to be pretty common on the little diesel.

Duncan:
Duncan has been fully repainted and given a visible firebox.

Ivo Hugh:
Ivo Hugh was made out of a Plarail Luke, the tanks were removed and replaced with a print designed by myself. The face is by Trampy. His livery is painted straight down the middle with one side being a hypothetical TVS style purple, and the other side being the RWS red.

I probably posted him awhile back but here’s Duke: (again)
His frames were extended out and his crosshairs were glued back on and used as axle caps for the siderods.

Where is the visible Firebox on Duncan?

His firebox is pushed up against his cab, and is that little square. It’s a bit hard to notice at first because of the lighting.

Made from a Plarail Gordon from the bad blue batch of plastic from the early 2000s plarail had, with a clay face and 3d printed tender. The box on his runningboard is only there to cover the drive wheels.

Rex:
His face isn’t the best but he follows the exact same method as the other three. His footplate SUCKED to modify though, would not recommend using a Classic Gordon for this, definitely use Plarail CGi 2015 Gordon. He’s made from a Hit Toys Gordon.
