Ultra Rare Front-Coupling Splatter now on eBay!

Some of you may be wondering why this thread has been made, others will know exactly why, this front-coupling Splatter is an ultra rare item only ever released in the Plarail Lady Chase Set and it is highly collectable so I figure a few of you out there might want a go at grabbing this item for yourselves, the link will be posted below, be warned it is a little pricey, I am also not selling this item so I think it can stay in this category!

It is a Hard to Find item...but I am not sure a $120 hard to find. :-/

Probably not IMO, having seen several for sale the past year, but maybe for someone not well versed in the art of buying and importing directly.

Hmm, the ones I remember was I think under 30 dollars for front hook Splatter and Dodge with a regular Diesel and some wagons, and then the one that I bought which is the pair, a Harvey powered coach, and a mix of other wagons for around 18 dollars (plus associated fees and shipping, etc)

I believe I saw at least two other ones, plus one in a boxed Diesel 10 chase set. There were probably several more but I don't keep great tabs on them after finding one for myself.

Well, I have just found the entire set on ebay, and I'd say that it's better value than just the splatter.

Front hook splatter is "ultra rare?" I have seen a lot on JAUCE recently. I don't think he is hard to come by... Then again i haven't checked very recently so i may be completely wrong.

I would have to say that the front hook Splatter is very rare anywhere in the western world, hard to find in the east and easily attainable in Japan So Dalek is not entirely wrong.

@Tons you have? Strange, I've only been seeing Dodges recently!

@[deleted] ah I see, but to be fair the prices outside of Japanese websites tend to skyrocket, just look at the TnA diesel 10, I'll keep an eye out to snag one of these Splatters for myself for a good price then!

That eBay listing appears to be the same set which was listed on Yahoo last year, but I suspect it was one of many listings that get crossposted over to eBay and never taken down after the original Japanese auction is already won and over. I suspect if you were to buy that listing, you would get an eBay message that it is out of stock and be offered a refund.
The original Japanese listing was crossposted at the time and was already "sold" on eBay before the actual auction ended. I suppose it is possible if the original crossposted eBay listing was never paid for that the chap doing the importing is stuck with it and has relisted it.

I know there is a front hook Splatter listed right now, but the lot it is in is not going to go cheap.

@Tons oh dear you silly goose! But yes the front coupling Dodge is quite common to come across, for some reason...

An identical front hook Dodge was also included in the much more common Talk n Action Diesel 10, so he shows up a lot more often.

@[deleted] yeah, not sure why that version is much more common, I would have expected the Splatter to have a larger amount produced

They produced one of each Splatter and Dodge for each Diesel 10 Chase set produced and only Dodge for each Talk n Action Diesel 10 as Splatter was permanently attached as the battery car, so there is naturally more front hook Dodges

Front Hook Splatter is Rare but is pretty easy to find. Got my Front Hook Splatter and Dodge for 2,500yen

FYI - I bought a front hook splatter a couple of years ago from an eBayer in Singapore, and I think I paid $30? I can’t find the transaction to confirm, but I don’t think it was much more than that.

And somewhat related to front hook splatter, I think there’s a thread about the very small difference between the two versions of front hook dodge (chase set vs TnA diesel 10). If I recall, Muddy notes that the color is slight different in the dodges, so you can figure out if you have the chase set dodge or the TnA dodge. Apologies if I’m misremembering or not attributing the info to the right poster!
