I'm not one to say what you should or shouldn't do with your pieces, but I would reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally not open what is possibly the only sealed one in the world. You paid a premium for it after all.
Give it another year or so, and I guarantee you an out-of-box US James will come up for sale. Hell, maybe somebody on here wouldn't mind trading theirs for the NIB one- but it's up to you. My strong suggestion, as well as (most likely) everybody here, do not open it.
