It feels like it has been years (pun intended as I believe it has been since I have posted). I wanted to make a quick post to ask the opinion of the community.
So I am likely at a point where I feel I probably will not be collecting any longer and am ready to finish parting with most everything I have train wise. I made a substantial purge a few years back but still have a ton of stuff. The thing is, with eBay fees outrageous, dealing with shipping, and the time to list and sell everything adhoc, I think it would be better to try and see if there is someone here that may be interested.
As some may know, I had a passion for repairing things, so as such I have a lot that still needs repaired. This would be great for someone that has that same passion, wants to do customs, or maybe just wants a bunch of spare parts. There is a crazy amount of track (as in totes full), bridges, risers, etc… it would be impossible to list everything, but that leads me to my question.
Would you rather me lay everything out, take various pictures of things and try to note things I know need repairs vs things I know work? Or, make a video where I basically just show everything and maybe also have some notes on what I know works vs needs repairs? I will not be able to test everything or make repairs on all of it, but could potentially work through some of it for serious buyers.
I would love to try and get this sold as soon as possible as I will be likely moving in the next several months so really do not want to move it or risk damaging it if at all possible.
Please let me know your thoughts. Sorry it has been so long and I hope everyone here is doing well.
