Ok, last batch of items up for real now.. 😃.. also reposted some items due to a buyer who bid on several items then won several and said he needed me to hold the items (for an unknown amount of time) before he could pay.

Were you able to use the second chance offer where they offer it to the next highest bidder?

Was one that they didn't pay for that nice Dewalt Drill or did you have 2?

I ended up cancelling the orders that the buyer placed and then blocked them, and cancelled any open bids they had. I reposted the items but most only had the one bid from the buyer in question.

Actually the Dewalt drill I had up the buyer did not pay either, so it was reposted. I really do not get it, if you cannot pay then why bid, it only causes more issues for the seller.

I had a UK TnA Thomas that was in the same boat, buyer did not pay.

I am more than happy to work with someone on puke to arrangement, but not messages or anything.

This is one of the reasons I like to List as Buy It Now, you can choose to make it an Immediate Payment for the Buyer. They would not be able to complete the Buy without paying.

I have never used the Second Chance offer before but I assume its for exactly what happened to you where they would contact the next higest bidder to see if they wanted to buy it at there last bid price.

Yeah, I just wasn’t sure on what some of this would sell for so did not want to low ball myself..lol. I did as best offer on some which has been used. I tried second chance awhile back and the person had already bought another item or thought it was a scam..

be careful with second chance offer. I did get a second chance offer and I paid. The ebay messed up. Apparently the winner of the auction paid for the item. I did get my full refund but I did end up losing like $5 due to weaker dollar exchange.

Similar to Super, I gave up on trying to do an auction after some shenanigans. I almost gave up on accepting offers due to accepting offers, waiting four days for payment, and then having to cancel due to non payment. Though I learned via an eBay customer service rep that eBay is pretty understanding if sellers want to cancel prior to the four days. They indicated that if you include in your listing a shorter "payment due" date, you can cancel without getting dinged by eBay.

Sorry for the tangent. Ripley, I hope future buyers honor their bids and get you your money!

So far it looks like you have done well my friend with all the completed Listings you have had since you started. A lot of work but I bet its paid off in the form of...Drywall 😉

Lol.. yes for sure Super. 150 listings sold and 18 left. I do have a few more odds and ends to list but I agree, most has sold and for a pretty decent profit. Of course when you look at the gross vs net it is quite staggering with regards to the eBay fees and shipping costs that come off the total sales, but I am happy to recoup some of the initial investment.

Drywall is a pain..lol. But it is all up and now just getting bids on finishing it along with paint and trim. ðŸ˜

attemped to bid 20 quid but it stayed at the starting price

Odd, there is no reserve. It could be if you are making an offer it is less than accepted, but I am not sure on what issue you may be seeing. Thanks

I believe a reserve means that the seller has placed a minimum amount that they would be willing to sell for, and your bid did not meet it, so it was not accepted.
