Back from Sunday break, today I'll have Plarail trains I have just collected, i.e. they have just ended up in my possession for less than a year.Â
Also I ordered these two trains at once so I will show both of them in this post.
First one is Shinkansen E1 Max!

Since the seller likely just collects random Plarail trains to sell, no box is present.
First thing, I like holding this train. It's bulky (likely because it's a double-decker so it takes all the volume available for a Plarail train) and probably that's it ¯_(ツ)_/¯
Suprisingly it runs fast for a second-hand train, as I expected it to be slower (and E1 had been removed from Plarail's catalogue for a long time, I suppose??). It has a snap-on lid.
And yeah, it's a double-decker, I have to have one.
Secondly it's Shinkansen WIN350!

As stated above, the seller probably just sell Plarail for the sake of selling, and just combine fitting cars together; therefore the color of motor car and the others have differences. Regardless, it's a full set, it's practically extinct now, I must have it!
For those who don't know, WIN350 or Series 500-900, is an experimental Shinkansen for JR West, which basically aids in development of Shinkansen 500 series. WIN350 stands for "West Japan's Innovation for operation at 350Â km/h" because acronym, amirite?
About the Plarail train, the most disappointing thing to me is how nerfed the pantograph hump is, because in real life, it's easily as high as half the height of the car! (The preserved real life counterpart also got the hump removed btw)
Other than that, I like the sleek look of the train. The speed is quite fast and I like that as it should be fast.
This one has the much older type of snap-on lid and the latches are perfectly positioned on the front wheels, so the axle will catch on the lid when I try to close it, highly inconvenient.
