Okay, I believe this should be the last Plarail purchase for a while.
This time, I bought a train that I already have, and it’s also my first Plarail train ever, S-04 Shinkansen N700 Mizuho-Sakura!
(and some Techology cars too I guess)
Here’s the comparison between the new one and the old one, which I believe it’s the first version of N700 Mizuho as well, since the train comes with a full rail set. Nevertheless, you can see the yellowing of the old one, not very visible, but it’s clear with the new one.
The front is definitely different, since there’s the light function here. What I didn’t expect is that the mould for the rear car also got remade, instead of paint, it’s actual colored plastic.
So now let’s move on to Techology Plarail, with TP-03. If the power car has light, why not invest in lights for tail car as well?
I put them all for a run, and there’s a problem. Front car’s light is too powerful, the whole nose glows. The Techology car, however, works as intended, only glow where necessary. Might have to spray paint the inside black to prevent this light bleed.
And finally, a Chuggington Techology car, Koko. I heard this was based on 0/200 Series Shinkansen, so I got one. Unfortunately, this is a letdown, the light function gave up after all those years. If anyone knows how to fix, let me know.
