TNA Problem

I'm hoping someone has had this problem and fixed it, the problem is the TNA from before, he plays the theme, but he wont run, the motor doesn't try and its a different one, and the 2 black parts on the motherboard (the ones that stick out) overheat pretty badly, I got a burnt splinter of how bad it got, hope someone knows how to fix this

I am no wiring wizard but the first thing that came to my mind is if there are any Resistors involved with these TNA's?

only one in the battery car, I replaced the jumper

the tender engines have some more, but not thomas

I don’t if this is relevant, but there is a dedicated wafer type fuse somewhere hidden inside the chassis’ underside that is independent of the circuit board.
I have seen it.
My electronics friend found it and replaced it on a Japanese version of James for me years ago.

sooooooooooooooooooooooo, update!!! I swapped the motherboard with one I found for $5, it was a broken one I found at a flea market, so now I have an American TNA Thomas!!!!!!!

I can’t remember how many there are known to exist, but I’m pretty sure it’s one of only a handful.

I am seriously not paying $1000 dollars for a TNA Thomas lol, I meant 1000 in existence

I seriously doubt that there are even 100 left in existence, and since it has no discernible outward difference in appearance from the other two versions, it makes it incredibly hard to search for and find.
$1000 is not too far off for the right collector.

Weird how there are so few american TNAs. You'd expect the US to have a big supply of them (after all the american talking FP engines are more common than the UK ones)

You shouldn't feel bad. We are collectors and finding rare stuff is anyone's game.

And makes it so much more rewarding to a collector when they do find that one item they had been searching for that has eluded them. Just ask Muddy how rewarding it is. If it wasn't hard then everyone would have one and then not so collectable.
