The various MTR sets are interesting, and come with a great selection of re-purposed Plarail stations, with detailed stickers for the various MTR locations. There are Basic Sets and Deluxe Sets. There are a number of different versions of both. The original 2010 releases contained the ‘M-train’, and the Deluxe version was called the 'MTR Passenger Train (1998 - ) Deluxe Set. This was re-released with a completely different track and facilities configuration and the title changed to MTR Passenger Train (1998 - Present) Deluxe Set.
In 2014 a new series appeared with the ‘Airport Express’ instead of the ‘M-train’, and this in itself was re-issued in a different form in 2020, which is the one you have.
Then there’s another sequence with a third type of train, the ‘SP1900’, for example the MTR Passenger Train (2002 - Present) Deluxe Set, with it’s super rendition of Lo Wu station, Then to bring us up to date, there’s the MTR Passenger Train Vibrant Express Deluxe Set. You’ll have fun collecting all these!
I have a whole treatise half-written on MTR Plarail. Maybe one of these days I’ll dust it off and publish it here like I did for the Taiwan ones (assuming this new forum gets some changes to make it possible again).
You’ll have fun with the Monorail. They are a bit pernickety to set up so they run smoothly but you’ll get there, and before long you’ll decide you want to add some Monorail Slope Rails, and that’s a whole other can of worms.
