Plarail Advance Lego Station

[attachment=345] I built a station out of Legos using the old bin I had from dismantled sets and built a pretty decent prototype station out of it. Naturally, this station has a few problems, the biggest being I have no way to stop a Plarail Advance train without using a stop track. :s Does anyone have any suggestions? Later, I plan on buying from BrickLink more color friendly pieces, like platform orange and tin roof green, and a grey base. Thanks for reading this!

With enough Legos, I hope to build a terminal and a scaled down Tokyo Station. I've been trying to find a good N scale terminal building but my searches have come up empty handed.

I just looked at that one before you sent that link xD. It may be. I was looking for something more Japanese but it seems as Tomix and Kato don't sell any big or classic Japanese terminals. Perhaps the terminal will be underground with a mall or a few skyscrapers above it? 😛. I think I need to really finalize my layout plans. I have a few ideas but they haven't come to solid conclusions yet.,:huh:

It's nice but NanoBlock is extreeeeeemly small. I also had some ideas with this

The idea consisted of removing the machinery for the stop mechanism that would hinder Plarail Advance going thru. Or cut it and add some Knapford sections to it, with a Lower section for suburban and subway services

I had thought of that Tokyo Station and have seen some used ones listed on the Yahoo Japan Auctions. The front of the station compared to the reverse side is way out of scale but I think the front of the Tokyo Station might be more scaled to the Advance line. I think a member her purchased one recently and may have some pictures posted here. I like your idea and think the train side could be redesigned with accessories to fit the N scale.

I also plan to cover the table with 3 players of hard pink foam insulation. I may or may not use Plarail subway tunnels. I think it would be cool to have a section on the side that was open, but the foam is meant for me to cut and route the Plarail track. A concern I have is underground access. The subway may just follow the outside of the table and curve back in and go up, go on ground and decend again into the terminal entrance. The station will defiantly have 2 layers, ground level for express and sleeper trains and down for the subway and commuter operations, also with a possible upper level on the side for Shinkansen services.

I believe the whole building part can be removed from the base plate.

Thanks for that Suzukawa video, looking at as to how it is assembled gives me a great idea. Does YahooJP Auctions ship only to Japan or internationally? If I can get 2 station buildings, I can merge them and make the transition from building to platform much easier.

you can join jauce and shop yahoo auctions that way. you have to deposit money before you buy, then fees and shipping, plus the item cost. well worth it for HTF items.

That is the Capsule building and I believe way too small for your Plarail Advance.

How I tell the difference by looking at the picture is if the gray track and platform is on the bottom.
