Hello! Recently I picked up some of the new Trackmaster 4 “Classic” 3-Packs (which are lovely btw) I’ve noticed however that they’re pretty slow, I’m assuming part of it is due to their bigger size in general.
I ended up replacing the motors with older green-top tm2 motors which have worked better, but they’re still kind of slow. I then replaced the motors with old classic Trackmaster motors which are quite a bit faster but so fast that often engines will hop off the track. I know weights would help with that but even then, they’re just too fast for my liking, I’ve got quite the goldilocks situation of things being too slow or fast lol. I’ve noticed with the classic Trackmaster motors they also have trouble on elevation, which is understandable given they’re not necessarily meant for 3 volts.
So basically, I’m wondering if anyone could recommend a motor for the tm2 3-volt design that’s faster (or at least better) than the stock one, but not so fast that engines will constantly hop off the track like with the classic trackmaster one. Thanks! 🙂
