So the Thomas and Percy new variants it really feels lazy of them . These variants are better then the monkey Thomas or the mail Percy . But the quality is sad The amount of stickers being used is getting out of hand . I do wonder what direction the line will go in next year . I don’t think Japan will get the new show till 2027 so they have a whole year . The 80th anniversary will be over so it’s not like they can do some celebratory releases .

I think we will get the Thomas starter set redone soon and maybe new track packs to go along side it . I don’t expect much for new molds

It’s sad the last couple of years we only got variations of Thomas and not new characters.

Wow so this pack . A lot of peiced I thought were gone like the buffers are here . I am very happy to see this . I did predict we might see a older set return . And sure enough . Comparing in to the older one . The detailing on the milk jug wagon are gone . The water tanker has replaced the fuel tanker which was already outdated by the original sets release back in 2011 lol .

Thomas has a cgi face the closed mouth version and has steam details like TM2 Scottsman .

And that yellow track used to be green .

Other then that the set is the same .

Seems there is no early time bonus of this set . But the fact we have classic Thomas stuff really make this set amazing .

The set by itself is very good (even if the milk truck lost its details and the sticker detailing on Thomas’ sides instead of printed decals on the plastic). But something I don’t like is the fact that all these “new releases” are just variations of existing characters and rolling stock from previous sets and packs, no new toolings, nothing! Not counting the All Engines Go! toolings, we haven’t seen new characters since 2022. (And the fact that Kenji is just a retooling of an existing Plarail item) Very disappointing.

I don’t have issues with reusing elements from previous sets, my problem is all the “new” content from the past 5 years it’s been that way.

Interesting set, but it’s kinda boring with getting another Thomas variation in a set.
