Hi everyone, I'm Alastair. I'd like to thanks for having me in your group, I can't wait to show you all what I'm getting up to but first a little background.
Some will have seen my Youtube videos under my Wartsilaone username and some will know me from various groups on Facebook.
I live in Norwich (UK) and I I'm a train driver operating trains around East Anglia and to London. It was perhaps inevitable that my son would also develop a love for trains and has many different types of toys and models.
A few years ago my wife bought a box full of Trackmaster from the local charity shop, I'm sorry to say I'm not a big fan of the Thomas themed toys but these did bring my attention to Tomica Plarail and it's Shinkansen range.
I've always been interested in Japanese culture and regard the Shinkansen as being the best rail network in the world so naturally I began to collect what I could.
Nowadays I collect the Advance series and love to modify and improve these models, I'm currently working on some transfers which you'll see in due course.

Looking forward to being a regular contributor.

Shalom, LittleBlueTank! You'll be in for one smelters yard of a battery powered ride. I too haven't used mine for several months, and all the brown and blue track (as well as some road) is still stored in humongous cardboard boxes at mom's office. It's been so long since I've last touched a piece, let alone a character. Good luck with your permanent layout! Any progress so far?

Hi, I was born in the U.K. and now I live in Japan. I found this site because I couldn't find a Plarail/Tomy London Underground. I was checking to see if anyone had any good ideas how to do such a thing.
