Hi All,

Long time collector based in Melbourne, Australia. Started collecting when my kids played with Tomy Thomas 12+ years ago. They lost interest long ago and I moved more towards Plarail. Most of my stuff I have scavenged together from online, new and second hand sets and also a few pieces that I bought on my travels in China and Hong Kong.

I'm no expert but I really enjoy some of the Plakids scenery parts. My favourite pickup was the MTR Deluxe Set (MTR is one of the best metro's I have ridden in Asia and I love that there is a Plarail engine and set for it).

Anyway, I will post some more in the other topics. Just wanted to introduce myself and participate as I have been reading the forums off and on for a while so thought I should contribute back.

Hi everyone! I hope I am posting on this correctly.
My name is Melissa and I live in the states, Arkansas to be precise. My son is autistic and has always had a love for anything related to Thomas. We started buying him sets and engines when he was around 2 years old. I put them away in storage for a bit and about 3 months or so I got them back out and thisbis when I realized I also have a love for this hobby!! So basically I began researching and collecting in the last few months.
I can not get over how much information there is!!! Thank you for this forum! Lots of good reads and information to be had!!

I'm from Japan, and I appreciate you guys trying to promote and enjoy our beloved Plarail outside of Japan.

Quick question. I'm working on modifying LEC USA Amtrack to run smoothly on Plarail tracks. Is there a good thread to discuss this? It seems like the key words here in this page have to be more than 4 letters, so "LEC" "USA" seems like a tricky subject to start a thread on. Any tips?

Greetings from El Paso. This site was mentioned in another Forum, and I had no idea. A very interesting premise, and though not a dyed-in-the-wool Rev. Awdry fan, I do take some inspiration from the series. At the time when Thomas the Tank Engine was new, at least to me, digital imagery was even a thing, and I was mesmerized by the videography. It was inconceivable, then, that I could ever do such a thing with a telephone (cell phone). What is intriguing here is that members are looking to have fun with their trains, and that is simply where I'm at with it, for the last half century plus.
