chrisjo I’ve used these “brick tunnel” elements in many of my videos since last summer (I have 4 sets so I can lay out a full circle or, rather, two halves of a circle on a single layout). They’re interesting because, in addition to looking nice, they allow you to lay out the track on two levels, with the upper one, of course, already being part of the aforementioned “brick tunnel”.
Here too, however, I must warn you about possible difficulties in laying the lower track (the track in the tunnel) with the new gray “real” rails. Namely, they have these sleepers that protrude and that need to be adjusted to the inner supports of the tunnel. With some effort, but without removing these protruding parts of the sleepers, it is possible to set up the “real” rails as the lower tracks. The tunnel is obviously designed to be laid with regular Plarail curved rails.
