Default Quoting Behavior inside of Private Messages has been removed as it was causing Un-intended issues with ghost image tags.
BluePlasticTracks Dev Team are working hard behind the scenes at all times monitoring the situation and are certain the behavior is related to the removal of the "Smilie" system we are working on a solution and are aware of "Ghost" image boxes appearing elsewhere.

Edit: The ghost image tag issue was caused by our text editor plugin that we used for editing posts this allowed for formatting options to be done within the quick reply section however I have disabled that plugin for performance and usability reasons. [/font]

[font=Arial]this means if you wish to use the formatting options you must use them within the "full reply" page and are no longer accessible in-line when viewing a thread.[/font][font=Arial]

It will give you an attachment tag like such and you can move it anywhere you want the image to show up in your post:

I know this might come very late after the Update but is the Dark Mode removed? I cant seem to find it in the Options anymore, next to that i really love it!

Just a note regarding the issues above: Problems like this are always going to happen until we fully move away from the user made plugins system as we make changes and fixes eg.

We can fix 1 thing and 2 other things might break so we also need to investigate the effects of changes on all aspects of the forum even things that shouldn't break just to double check.

We are moving from a turn key solution and slowly making code augmentations and modifications and rebuilding certain systems within the BluePlasticTracks code base itself as we don't entirely agree with the direction the software has taken in recent years we are a fork of an open source forum software but we have made hundreds of changes to suit the BluePlasticTracks Community and hundreds more are coming soon.

I am personally aiming to bring blueplastictracks into the 2022's and beyond with a better UX/UI and features.

That sounds like the problems I've been having with 'ghost image' boxes appearing when I try to put spaces between actual images, as well as with other changes in 'source mode'. Then when I post the edited version, everything has disappeared. Nice to know it's a recognized problem with a fix in the pipeline.

[font=Georgia,serif]The uploading of pictures (Profile, Thread Attachments) have been restored and fixed.
New Logo added to the Website.
External images can be directly hot linked in by linking an image in the post like the example[font=Georgia,serif] below this fixes the issues related to every image not appearing only in link form.[/font][/font]

External image linking has been fixed and is now restored as of 08/10/2022 (7:33 pm), hot-linking functionality has been removed in order to restore original functionality to the image handler.

is it me or there is a glitch on viewing image files on the message threads? All I am getting are html codes with the url. when i click on the url i was able to see the photo on a new browser

Personally, the previous logo looked higher quality and a bit more dignified. If there 'has' to be a representation of rolling stock in it, it could look long and squashed with traction tyres and an on/off switch on top (without copying a real Plarail/TrackMaster product). Thank you so much for fixing the avatar issue.

An idea I have is to have a dark mode, The website is too bright for me, just my opinion.

Also maybe the new logo's train could have a lantern in dark mode? 🙂

Regarding the images missing and ghost tags I have found the culprit and it occurs when you swap between mobile theme and full theme essentially what happens is that it disables images from working altogether through the user control panel for some weird reason.

128 of our members had this setting applied to their account and I have gone and restored the images to show up again and am working on a bug fix for this issue.

I have extracted the darkmode from the BluePlasticTracks rework imported it you can change theme at the bottom of your page in the forums by clicking

and selecting dark then pressing "Go"
