I don’t think “they cheaped out” DD-O, it may be more-so due to Warner Bros. Entertainment who owns the publishing rights and who collaborated with Plarail on this train, not wanting non-related train cars attached to their product? Just a thought.
I had the same thought Leyland but after searching all my collection of Coaches that have the side clips none have the factory rear couplers, except one…there is one coach with the Mizukaze set that looks like it would be perfect with both couplers but there must be a slight difference as I can’t get it to fit the Hogwarts and I don’t want to force it. Maybe you or someone else out there knows of a different one that might work.
BTW: I have finished the modification of the coach with a rear coupler and will post a picture soon.
BTW2: The Stickers are perfect and not pixelated/blurry like originally seen earlier in the Thread. And they have included many extras of each which I guess they assume that they are answering the complaints of previous trains that its a one and done try to stick them on straight or maybe this was due to Warner Bros request so their train doesn’t look sloppy with buyer installed crooked details. This should especially help with those curved side stickers.
